La Cañada Flintridge --   La Cañada Flintridge, known as just La Cañada (Spanish for 'The Ravine'), is a city in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains  in Northeast Los Angeles County, California. Located in the Crescenta Valley, in the western edge of the San Gabriel Valley, it is the location of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Before the city's incorporation on November 30, 1976, it consisted of the two distinct communities of La Cañada and Flintridge.

La Crescenta - Montrose -- La Crescenta-Montrose are  adjoining unincorporated areas in northeast Los Angeles County, California. The community is bordered by Glendale to the south and west, La Cañada Flintridge to the east, and the Angeles National Forest to the north.

Altadena -- Directly north and west of Pasadena.  The name Altadena was coined by Byron O. Clark. The name combines the Spanish alta, meaning 'upper,' with dena, a term he likely adapted from Pasadena. The area is adjacent to, but at a higher elevation than, Pasadena.  In early 2025, the community was severely impacted by the Eaton Fire.

Pasadena -- In 1886 Pasadena incorporated, largely as a measure to rid the city of its saloon. In the ensuing decade, amenities such as sewers, paved streets, and electric street lighting were installed. Today, the town is famous for the Tournament of Roses, the Rose Bowl, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and California Institute of Technology.

Sunland - Tujunga --Sunland-Tujunga is a Los Angeles city neighborhood within the Crescenta Valley and Verdugo Mountains. Living in Sunland offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Sunland there are a lot of parks. Many young professionals live in Sunland.

Eagle Rock -- Eagle Rock is buttressed by Glendale to the west and Pasadena to the east.  The town gets its name from the massive 50-foot-tall boulder that greets those entering from the west with natural formation that looks like an eagle.   The town is known for its eclectic, laid-back vibe, tree-lined streets, cozy coffeehouses, vintage boutiques, Mom-and-Pop markets, and a diverse array of global cuisine. It is also the home of Occidental College

Downtown Los Angeles -- DTLA is the central business district of the city of Los Angeles, and has a population of roughly 85,000 residents, with an estimated daytime population of over 200,000. Downtown Los Angeles is divided into neighborhoods and districts, such as the Arts, Fashion, Banking, Theater, Toy, and Jewelry Districts. Also located in downtown is the Civic Center, the administrative core of the city government.

Since the early 2000s, downtown has experienced a renaissance of economic revitalization, including the Crypto.com Arena in downtown's south end, and the restoration and repurposing of historic buildings in the area.
